Jordan Cargill provided a well-organized and safe two-day ski-mountaineering and ice climbing experience in the White Mountains. His deep knowledge of the terrain, focus on safety, and clear instruction made for an excellent trip. On the first day, we climbed Pinnacle Gully, where Jordan’s route planning and technical guidance ensured an efficient and controlled ascent. The ski descent down The Lip of Tuckerman Ravine was well-managed, with a strong emphasis on terrain assessment and risk management. The second day at Frankenstein Cliffs focused on ice climbing, where Jordan provided practical instruction to improve technique and efficiency. His ability to break down skills in a clear and approachable way made the experience both productive and enjoyable. Jordan’s familiarity with the region and understanding of conditions added value throughout the trip. His professional and safety-first approach made for a great experience, and I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking to build skills in ski-mountaineering or ice climbing.

I started working with Jordan when he was just getting Mountain Shadows Adventures off the ground in 2021, and the progression since then has been incredible. I've spent time with Jordan every season since our first activity together in the White Mountains of NH. Jordan helped me transition from an advanced resort skier with limited backcountry experience into a confident ski mountaineer, capable of ice climbing technical routes on Mount Washington and skiing descents from the summit over the lip. Under his guidance, I've also progressed my multi-pitch rock and ice climbing skills, completing glaciated ski mountaineering objectives such as Mount Baker, WA, and Mount Washington, NH (multiple routes over the last four seasons). Jordan consistently delivers professionalism while keeping every outing fun, engaging, and well thought out. His curriculum and guiding are structured yet flexible, adapting to conditions and individual goals while maintaining a clear progression. Most importantly, safety is always the top priority—without ever detracting from the quality of the experience. Jordan creates exceptional opportunities to grow skills and confidence in technical terrain, and I can’t recommend him highly enough.
